Ironmen leadoff hitter Evan Melendez talks about the Ironmen's first win and the importance of his leadoff role.

The Ironmen defeated the Butler Blue Sox, 4-0 on Saturday night at the Pipe Yard. Melendez, an Amherst graduate and Ashland University player, is in his second season with the team. So far, through three games, Melendez is 6-for-13 (.462) with five runs scored. He has also reached on two errors.
